Help identifying an old pellet pistol

My 91 year old father-in-law found this in a drawer. He's sharp as a tack, Korean war veteran, but can't remember how or when it came into his possession. Absolutely no markings on it. Seems well made. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Seems well made and it is heavy. No imports marks.

I don't know the manufacturer but My dad had what appears to be the exact on when I was a kid and it is likely in the possession of a relative now. It was not made in china and was very accurate.

China has (or at least had) a habit of making knock-offs of air guns, especially consumer grade guns (both low and high end consumer grade.) They had some 100% accurate knockoffs of Feinwerkbau air pistols and rifles in the 90's that would interchange all parts with the German guns.
