Help! 20 MOA Base - Schmidt & Bender Scope

When the 7mm talks: the conversation ends.
Help! I can't figure this out on my own for some reason...

I have a Badger 20 MOA base and a 10x Schmidt and Bender PMII scope on a Remington 7mm Mag.

The scope has 130 cm of EXTERNAL adjustment at 100 yards.,It's a mildot scope with 130 external cm clicks of elevation - a one turn elevation knob that STOPS at 130.)

Okay, what does the 20 MOA do for me really? If I'm zeroed at 200 yards with a flat base or a 20 MOA base, I still have 130 clicks up either way. Right? The 20 MOA gives me nothing??

If I can get zeroed at 200 yards with a flat base AND have 130 clicks of elevation, there is no advantage to that big 20 MOA tilt..?

What you have is actually 65 cm of adjustment UP or Down,130 total). Scopes are centered,to split the adjustments 1/2 and 1/2). If you don't shoot more than say 500-600 yds you may not need the 20 MOA base, but if you shoot say 1000yds. or more the extra 20 MOA will help keep your scope more optically centered
