I have a 2340 too, like it a lot.
Does your wife backstop your chair when you shoot that 44? Used to be my favorite caliber too (Desert Eagle IX w/10" barrel or a Ruger Super Redhawk) but I've kinda given it up for 45ACP as I'm 15 years older now.

I roll my own so there is very little recoil, lighter than a 9mm, my brother claims its not shooting but launching morters.
