Hi everyone. First post on the board. One of the first members, can't remeber who) told me to check this out....
Anyway, just had a 6BR built. It's not for competition, it's for calling coyotes. It's a Trued Model 7 with Lilja 1:9 twist barrel finished at 27 inches and a vais brake on the end of that. Here it is before I duracoated it white yesterday.

It was supposed to be built for Lapua brass, no turn necks, and throated so I could shoot both 55's up to 107's. I knew it would be a compromise effort, but this is a compromise rifle. I want to try shooting both, and have several hundred each of moly coated 55's and 107 SMK's. Here's the problem: While I understood from the smith that the reamer was a 6BR norma spec reamer of rno turn necks and a slightly longer throat for longer necked brass and to shoot longer bullets than a standard chamber, I've now been informed that the the reamer was a 6MM BR Remington MATCH chamber, with a .271 neck and .117 throat. I am concerned that with .269 Lapua loaded brass it will be too tight and that I won't be able to shoot 55's, which will probably be what I shoot most. Most of you talk .060-.080 throats for 75-107's and .100 or so throats for dedicated 107 rigs. I see one mention of .113 as a really LONG throat for a seriously dedicated 1k 107 rig). Am I screwed here or what??
Thanks, Riflman.
