Heavy sand?

Anyone know a supplier for heavy sand for rear bags? I’ve tried google search with no luck. Thanks

back order it. won't be too long

I use the garnet blasting sand from tractor supply that was referenced above. Not quite as heavy, but it packs well in the bag and has been plenty good enough for my purposes.

Try to get a small sample of Barite sand (dense stuff) from a business that sells barite by the tons in bags for well drilling mud.

How much do you need? I have a 15 lbs or more of Zircon (I think) that I have no use for. Pay the postage and it's yours. PM va222 if you want it.

Edit: It's probably Chromite not Zircon.... I know, I'm mineral profiling here but the stuff is black.

I still need some if anyone has any other ideas. A forum member helped me out with some but I need about 15 more lbs. All other ideas where tried with no luck. Thanks

Porter Warner Industries has what you are looking for:

I picked up a 50 pound bag of zircon sand (the very fine grained light brown material) at their Chattanooga, TN warehouse. As I recall, the order needed to be placed by one of their technical sales reps but if you call the warehouse nearest to you they will put you in touch with the right person. Hopefully, there will be a warehouse within driving distance from where you live. Shipping 50 pounds of sand can get expensive and I believe 50 pound bags is the smallest unit they sell but I could be wrong. Check them out.
