Heavy bolt after resizing

Sometimes you gotta lube inside the neck if the expander ball is dragging hard.

Throw the expander ball in some place where you'll never look for it and expand your case necks separately using a mandrel. I don't use them but bushing sizer dies are an option, especially if you turn your necks to a uniform thickness.

Many of the expander buttons look ok, until you get them under a magnifying glass. Some of them are pretty rough with machine marks. A lot of my expander buttons have been polished which keeps them from getting loaded with brass (polishing tips in the Dremel tool, or set up in the drill press with 1000 grit wet/dry sand paper). I also will get some imperial sizing die wax on my finger and run it across the case mouth of about every 5th case. Leaves just a little residue of the lube inside the case neck, but does wonders for the amount of strength needed to run the shell in and out of the die. Two tricks that may help.
