Headspace Question

Am I confused or what? Guffey says "you can't bump back a cartridge case shoulder but did not debate the point that a receiver can stretch using a tight Go gauge of known length?

Discussions like this make me think I have no brain.

Your brain is fine. Ever hear the old saying..."if you cant dazzle 'em with brilliance then baffle 'em with bull $chitt". That saying is often attributed to Adolph Hitler, but I believe I read somewhere that is a urban legend. I don't know who said it, but there sure are more than a few that like to practice it. Notice no one bit on the unexplained "pure genius" of measuring a chamber with some undisclosed means other than a go gauge?? Then see it turn to, "if the bolt cams over on a go gauge the chamber is now short".
Word games, ya gotta love 'em....I had this science teacher once upon a time. He told us in class one day that "there is no such thing as cold, cold does not exist...there is only heat and/or the measurable absence of it." So, to be "correct" next time you find yourself shivering you have to say, " wow, this absence of heat is going to make my nads fall off!!!!" I believe the teacher and suffice to say I learned something...he did his job... the real question is: will it stop people from saying "I'm cold" or "I bumped my shoulder back"???
