Hazards of buying a previously bedded stock?

I'm in the market to re-stock a M70 LA from the mid 90's. I'm looking at new stocks(McM and Manners), but I have seen a few used stocks come across. One in particular is a McM a-3 that has been pillar bedded to a M70 LA that was made in the 70's. What would I need to know if this stock would fit my barreled action and would re-bedding be a must? Thanks for input.

They should be rebedded. It's not a big deal, use a Dremel tool with a ball cutter and rough up the old bedding completely (including any bedding compound over pillars). Rebed over the old and all should be good!

Hazards of BUYING a previously bedded stock- none. As mentioned before- just rebed it. I have a Long Range Benchrest synthetic stock for a Savage 110, bedded to one particular action of mine. I tried putting in another 110 action and it wouldn't fit exactly. Every action is different.
