I need a mentor. I have what I consider top notch equipment and I am meticulous in my reloading procedures. Still, I am not satisfied with my targets. I am certain it is my shooting technique at the bench.

What I am hoping for is someone who will allow me to accompany them to the range and coach me. I live in the Rosedale area of Baltimore County, Maryland but am will to travel a reasonable distance for a chance to learn.

At 83 years old, I have no intention of becoming a competition shooter but I do want to shoot like one.

You should get in touch with Wayne France, the IBS Match Director @ Fairfax Rod & Gun Club in Manassas, Va. They hold monthly matches attended by people from NC to NJ, and everywhere in between.

First off, I want to thank all who have offered suggestions here. They are much appreciated.

I contacted Bob White at Shooters Corner and he will be holding a benchrest seminar April 18 and 19, 2020. First day is classroom and second day is range. He told me that he will have several other prominent shooters to help coach and teach. You can call Bob at 1-973-663-5159. It will be held in Highland Lake, NJ, at the Cherry Ridge Range.

Thanks for the offer. If I still had my motorhome, I would take you up on that. I'd camp out on that range of yours and shoot and load all day long till you finally begged me to go home.

How far are you willing to travel ? There's usually some mighty good shooters at the bridgeville delaware matches. That shouldn't be too bad. Sometimes a little discussion could help you get on the right path.

I travel from NJ to Delaware because of the level of competition.
