hash marks on bushnell elite 4200

I was planning on buying a bushnell 4200 elite 6-24x40 w/ SF and mil-dots. I read on here that the 6500's don't have any horizontal lines on the turretts so now i'm not so sure. Can anyone tell me if the 4200's do? I was also considering a nikon monarch 4-16x42 w/ SF & mil-dots, but everything i've read says the bushnell 4200's are way better.

The 4200 has horizontal hashmarks. Don't have a 4-16 but my 6.5-20 Nikons have much better glass then the 6-24 Bushnell I had.

The 4200 6-24X side focus scopes, both the 1" and 30mm models) have the tall, target turrets with traditional hash or cross marks. I have only one 6500, a 4.5-30 and it has short turrets with no hash marks. I have the 6500 on a 20BR for prairie dogs and one turn on the turrets gets me to 700 yards, which is the limit for anything but paper punching.

Each to their own, but I much prefer the glass in the 4200/6500 Elites to Nikon Monarch etc. I do have an old 6.5-20 Nikon made in Japan that has really decent glass but still prefer the upper end Bushnell.

the 4-16x42 nikon monarch w/ SF and mil-dots may not be too bad either. I remember a while back i looked thru my buddies prostaff and thought my millett gold was jst as good if not better. i'm not too sure how the nikons stand up to recoil. i like the fact that the 4200's have been recoil tested with a 375 H&H. for about $80 bucks more i can get a sightron. I'd buy a leupold, but in order to get one w/ SF and mil-dots i have to drop around $1000.i was initially gonna put a leupold on this rifle, but when i went to look at scopes the salesman talked me into a swift. my swift holds zero great, but the turrets won't return to zero. i can get another one for free, but i'd rather get a better scope. If i don't i will never feel comfortable hunting with this rifle/scope ever again.

here are a couple diffrent scopes in my price range.

22250,
You might want shop around a bit. I'd check with Graf and Sons for the Bushnell 4200's.
My gun club has an account there and Graf gives a generous discount, the prices you gave for the two 4200's were $70 to $100 per each, high, according to club price.

It was $490 at grafs for the 6-24x40, its mislabeled, and the picture is wrong showing one with an AO. The model number is the same and has a P on the end of it which means it has SF; i think. It doesnt say anything about the free raincoat tho. hmmm, i wonder what i would have to do to get one another $40 cheaper.
