Has anyone used a Berger Elite Hunter on Whitetail deer? Specifically the 140 gr, 6.5mm Creedmoor?

Not a whitetail or 6.5 Creedmoor but I have killed two muledeer with the 140 Elite Hunter out of a 6.5 SAUM. Shots were 330 and 440 yards both through the lungs and off side shoulders.

The bullets performed the same with complete penetration and golf ball size wound channel on both. I've also shot several coyotes with the 140s and have had 50 cent piece size exits; the bullet holds together well at the impact velocities I've taken animals at.

My wife and I used the 130 OTM out of a Creedmoor in South Africa in late August, loaded in Federal Gold Medal ammo. (Please don't judge, but I didn't have time to load before the trip LOL) 20 of the 26 animals dropped at the stop, or with 10 feet, others were archery or larger game with the .375 H&H. (2) kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Nyala, Red Lechwe, Impala and a bunch of the tiny 10 animals. I left the 70 remaining rounds with the PH as he was so impressed with the rifle and ammo, he was going to get one. You'll be happy with the 140 performance.

I built a 6.5-06 Ackley Improved for a client before the elite hunters ever came out. He is running the 140 Hybrid Target with great success. Multiple Elk and deer have fallen to that rifle with no issues at all.

I use them for extreme long range hunting , i pack the hollow points with salt so the meat doesn't spoil before i get to it.
