has anyone tried the 250gr berger .338 in a .338 win mag?

I've got an old sako finnbear in .338 win mag. I'm sure its a 10 twist. I was wondering if it would stabilize the long 250gr. I was thinking about using it to play at longer ranges. It shoots under 1/2" with 200 gr accubonds and combined technology bullets for hunting. I was just toying with this idea and wanted to hear if anyone tried it.

Do a search on this website for the test results: BERGER 250 HYBRID TACTICAL TEST RESULTS. I (CADDIE5) tested these bullets with a 338 win mag. My data also has a excel spreadsheet. Those of us that tested these bullets posted from 3/16/2012 and after that for a month.

I think 10 twist is the norm in factory 338 caliber rifles. My ar30 in 338 lapua will stabilize 300's. So I would say you should have a good combination.

As a side note I have a Sako Finnbear L61r 30-06 rifle. Great trigger and can keep 3 shots inside a nickel at 200 yds.--my go to rifle for hunting whitetails. So have you tried any loads for the 338win mag since your posting?

Thanks for the help everyone. I have some on order. The finnbear is an awesome rifle. It's the only factory rifle I own. I did put a brake on it due to recoil. I will post my result when they arrive.
