Has Anyone taken the RCBS Power Trim Motor and Adapted it to Turn?

I bought a used RCBS powered trim thing today and I can see the springs will save a lot of time on trimming. BUT, I'm wondering if this little slow rpm motor and springs could be used to turn brass cases with some kind of drill-brass holder into the shaft. I have a Sinclair NT-4000 turner and that could be held with some sort of vice. Seems like the springs in the trimmer motor would be perfect for turning brass and the handle controlling the springs. I'm thinking..... Just curious if anyone else has done this?
Also, does anyone know of a place where I can find a drill/case brass tool? I need this to turn brass.
thanks.

RCBS makes a neck turner attachment for that trimmer.

I don't think the springs would give you a consistent feed rate per revolution so you woul have to regulate the feed rate by eyeball and touch.

Yes, I got the neck turner thing attached but I'm thinking a slow revolution motor like that one would be great for turning. I suppose a drill attachment will be just fine.

Amazing! You did it! I have to find the connections you found. My neck turner Sinclair NT-4000 is not on a lathe but can hold it in a vise or something. Nice little slow turning motors are nice. I just knew we could kind of match the Benchrite motor and the $500 they charge.

In maine its a wicked pissah- looks real good.
LOL Dusty. These Mainiacs don't let me say wicked pissah up here in because I'm still a transplanted Masshole to them. Maybe someday they'll let me in on their lingo. Christ it took me years before they let me shoot against them.

Hello, Please take a picture of the shaft after the motor. Looks like you've used a 3/8" tube tied to the motor shaft and then into a drill 1/4" holder? I need to set that up to turn my drill/case holder but don't have the lathe boring hole. I'll have to figure out a brace to hold the shaft up. I think if the little motor is turning and mounted, I can take my Sinclare NT-4000 by hand and run it in and out. No since boring these other guys with this stuff, so my email is dennwhit@gmail.com

The shaft is the stock shaft that comes with the lathe. The rubber hose comes with the motor from RCBS. It's just a piece of fuel line. I just cut one of their stock clamps off one end of the hose and slid the lathe shaft into the hose and just replaced the clamp with a worm clamp.

Sure wish I hadn't seen your setup. About 2 months ago I passed up one of them RCBS motors on a divorce sale. It was missing some parts from the case holder side and I didn't want to bother with it. Man, that would have been a well spent $50 bill.

Well I paid about 225 for the motor. Fifty bucks would of been a bargain.
