LOL ! My letter read: Your enlistment has been involuntarily extended for the convenience of the Government. Instead of going from Clark AFB back to "the world" for discharge. ............ The night intruders.The letter read; Your friends and neighbors have selected you to serve......I used to say if I ever get my hands on those friends and neighbors I'd.... .It was Vietnam, as they say it was a great experience but I wouldn't care to do it again. You are in your formative years and this experience strengthens your backbone so you can face just about anything......as long as it doesn't kill you in the process. Thanks to all who served along side of me and kept me on the straight and narrow. We couldn't have done it alone. To all the others who fled to Canada, there's a spot on my heart for you, well, not exactly. I remember some who did exactly that running bit. I even went to the gravesite of one of them and did something that wasn't very nice if you know what I mean.
