Happy Veterans Day!

Happy Veterans Day, and a special thank you to all that have served. I have worked for a very large company for the last 32 years. One gentleman that I met at work and have known for the last 25 or so years has made it a point to come and find me, shake my hand and thank me for my service every year. The corporation I work for does not recognize me as a veteran because I did not serve during war time, (U. S. Navy 1976-1981) which iritates the hell out of me. Anyway long story short, just that one man, that one handshake with "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE" makes absolutely all the difference in the world. So to you all I dearly extend my special "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE". I wish you all well in your daily lives and the Lords guidance in any and all struggles you carry with you. "All gave some, Some gave all." To those that gave all, and those that will in the future, may your families be cared for and looked over as you would have done had you been givin the opportunity... Bob.

Thank you all , words can not express the feelings I have for our Men and Women who are currently serving or served. You have been faithful and kept the wolves back from the door.

The letter read; Your friends and neighbors have selected you to serve......I used to say if I ever get my hands on those friends and neighbors I'd.... .It was Vietnam, as they say it was a great experience but I wouldn't care to do it again. You are in your formative years and this experience strengthens your backbone so you can face just about anything......as long as it doesn't kill you in the process. Thanks to all who served along side of me and kept me on the straight and narrow. We couldn't have done it alone. To all the others who fled to Canada, there's a spot on my heart for you, well, not exactly. I remember some who did exactly that running bit. I even went to the gravesite of one of them and did something that wasn't very nice if you know what I mean.

LOL ! My letter read: Your enlistment has been involuntarily extended for the convenience of the Government. Instead of going from Clark AFB back to "the world" for discharge. ............ God bless all who have served and let not this day of remembrance ever be forgotten. Proud Crew chief, RB-57F Bien Hoa AB 65' -66". The night intruders.
