A Dad like that is a treasure. Mine was similar to yours. We hunted, fished, shot, worked and enjoyed each other for 56 years. I miss him every day.

Happy Fathers Day to all. Each and everyone and all of the Step Dads as well who has stepped up for our young folks. I was very blessed with the Father that God Blessed me with. He has been gone from this earth for more than 15 years now, but is in my heart everyday and my prayers every night.

Any man can be a father but it takes a special person to be a DADDY!!
Got a Happy Father's Day call from my youngest daughter in Minnesota who just last week end, came to California for an event and brought her two sons (my Grandsons) who we havn't seen since they were maybe 10 and 12? 22 and 24 now, 6'2", 220 pounds of pure class, VERY quiet and respectful!! Watch them duck to get under the ceiling fans.
Grandma said she wanted to see them EYE to EYE, told her she needed to stand on a box to do that.
Watched them standing in our bedroom looking in the closet. Asked what they were doing? Remembering back to the times they spent doing stuff at our house.
Told their Mom how much I appreciated them and Her for doing a FIRST CLASS JOB of raising them. Perfect Gentlemen, both.!!
Eldest daughter is my step daughter. Got her when she was 5 and I married her Mom. 60+ years of fun. Turned out to one of the better people in this world. Had questions for me about raising her kids? Me, not your father but, this is what I would do. Her, but you're MY DADDY!! Can't beat THAT with a stick!!
