Hand tightened barrels

Talking rifles with a guide in NM and he told me they have all gone to a custom rifle built in Alabama? that the barrels are just hand tightened with a set screw. Anyone know the gunsmith? Just interested in this.
Stevens 44 1/2 actions used that method. Same with current CPA 44 1/2 clones.

Terminus has the QC option with set screws. Curtis does too. I think most people know that Joel left Curtis and started Terminus to incorporate some of his design ideas into his action.

Terminus Zeuss…. Lots of prefits for it. Slapped a 26” proof comp contour on my buddies and locked set screws at 10in lbs and gun is a hammer! Did all of this at the range. Lol
A hammer? Does it drive 16 penny nails or railroad spikes?

I’m sure there is a market for all of these systems. The manufacturers would not place this much time and capital into development if there was not an identifiable buyer for the product.

See the post by @Tucker65 .
He is on point. Barbour Creek uses Terminus actions for their builds. The Zeus offers a QC option using a set screw for the hand tight barrels. I believe the tenon specs are slightly different for screw-on options due to not being snugged up tight at the shoulder.

AFAIK, they are run up against the shoulder (I've watched my friend swap barrels a couple of times.) Spin the barrel until it gently bottoms out, and tighten the setscrew(s?) The set screw simply keeps it from loosening.
