Yeah, I don't know all the details of limits, but so far on this episode, my account was reimbursed. Same case two years ago when this happened to the tune of 1700 bucks.

What is sad, is the number of folks I talk to who have had this happen multiple times in the last few years. It looks to me like a guy needs to keep almost all of your wealth locked up in accounts that are totally out of play, and just one small account or card with enough for monthly business and routine purchases. jd

So I’m an old guy trying to keep up with the latest tech same as what you have and others here.

use passwords that you must write down and then look up to enter.. 12 to 16 spaces or more but backdoors are in everything...the ones that know these backdoors pick off millions of devices only taking tiny amounts of money..they are all monitored by AI if you make a lot of transactions without verifying you will get popped I use Nord but who knows when your gonna get popped

It was about this time last year when our checking account got hacked through a Zelle scam. We do not use Zelle. We have only rarely used PayPal. All of our accounts got closed and we had zero access to our money except for a single credit card we keep as a backup/emergency. We didn't lose quite as much as you did and the bank covered our losses but we were locked out of everything for about a month. Royal PIA and I feel your pain.

ZELLE Is incredibly dangerous with no buyer protection and it gives a scammer direct access to your bank account. A seller could claim they are charging $50 then grab $5000 out of your account, and the bank will likely do nothing to protect you.

I use my desktop to access sites but a pad works fine and is pretty handy for a lot of stuff. My preference is a 7-8" pad, a size that balances well in one hand. The large pads have their place but might as well have a laptop.

Phone screen is just too small, I mostly only use my phone to talk, text, and review e-mail. While I don't really do much e-mail on my phone, it's really handy to have all my e-mail accounts right there where I can quickly review and swipe delete as needed. Saves a ton of time.

99.44% of my external life is handled through my phone. I can and do have things duplicated on my PC and several tablets plus cloud. All my forum time is on my phone. My PC had dual 27" monitors, not great for reading a forum unless I rotate one monitor to portrait orientation. But it is excellent for large amounts of data and the missus' graphic design work.

DO NOT reuse passwords across sites/accounts. Number one most important thing. If one site is compromised they take your email/username+password and try it against every site going, it's all automated. Then they get access to your important stuff...
