I live in new york state, how unfortunate !
Tonight I had my grandson come into the loading room to see if he was interested in reloading at all. He is 10 years old and a computer game junky. So I tried a little reverse psychology on him saying to him "This wont probably be fun to do" and the next words were can I try it. So I explained why you have to do it and how slow the Wilson trimmer is compared to my 2 gracey's set up to do .223 and .308. Tonight was .223 Remington night. So I showed him how to put light pressure on it to make it go in straight. Next thing I know he is getting fidgety to try it. So I let him go and he did about 50 cases in about 6minutes. He was hooked. I have never found common ground with him because of the addiction of those useless games he plays for hours. Tonight was my sons night to have his kids and then they come back tomorrow for the weekend. He cant wait to comeback and help me much to my amazement. You see in this state you have to be 12 before you can shoot. However it doesn't say anything about him or anyone under shooting age to do reloading processes. Maybe I sparked his interest finally. Now I cant wait till tomorrow afternoon to get him going. I only hope his screw ball mom doesn't find out as she just loves drama where there is none. I only hope I don't catch heck for doing this but his dad stood over us to watch. I basically found something to bond with him about as I really cant stand computer games. I am psyched!!!!!!!!!!!!
