Had fun shooting

Third time out to shoot, 65 rounds in total today, Hornady Black 168gr A-MAX. These so far have given me my personal tightest groups over Federal and S&B but I still need a lot more practice and you can see my groups breaking up as I go along. Each group was on 8x power and first shots were with 4.5x @ 100ydscc177701d20f3a7b58cb5c56ce43f979.png

It's all about having fun - nice shooting.

For many years I hunted varmints, predators (foxes in the old days in western PA) and deer with a 3 x 9 Redfield scope mounted on my Win Model 70 243. Never found the 3 x 9 lacking but in those days, a 200 to 250 yard shot on a ground hog or fox was a long shot. Those were the days before range finders and "Christmas" tree scope reticles but I never had more fun than with that simple rifle / scope setup.
