My best luck in the .17 Remington had always been AA2700 (H414/W760) until I started using CFE223. That's my favorite for both velocity and accuracy with 20-25 grain VMax and 25 grain Hornady HP. If I were to run out of CFE I would happily go back to my 2700 loads and be satisfied until I could find more CFE.

That's news to me. I thought Vista owns Alliant and Hodgdon owns the others. Please cite your source.
