H380 or IMR 4895 in a 6-47 Lapua

Just got a new custom rig, wondered if these two would work. Worked good in a 243 Win. Thanks in advance. Any load data would help. 8 twist 26in bb.

i would go with 4895 since it IS more stable in temp swings. but, if you are not worried about that, h380 is a good powder

What kind of bullets you looking at shooting. Mine has the same barrel and twist and I use H4350 with 95 VLDs, 105VLDs, and 115VLDs. I have also had some luck with the 87 V-max's with that powder. With the 105 and up I actually have a super consistent load that gave good SD/ES as well. Email me what bullet and I'd glad to send you my data.

I think you'll find it is a pretty easy target to tune. Varget and 75 to 87s isn't bad.

Hello, not really the answer to your 2 powder choices, but lots of info-
I had good results from VVN550 & 105 Amaxes in 6X47, fwiw.

For WIW, Ive found sphericals prone to giving bad surprises every time the weather changes, every every change in location. Ive had some of the most fantastic groups at home and real mediocrity at a different range. Much less an issue with extruded powders.

My 10 twist likes H414, H4350 and Re-17. I use the H4350 with 85 and 105 grain bullets, H414 with the 85 grain bullets and Re-17 with both weights also. H4350 is very slightly more accurate than the Re-17 but not by much. Tom
