H335 for 22ppc

Building a modified gun for UBR next year. This is the first time I have ever had anything chambered in the 22 PPC. My local shop has a couple 8 pound jugs of H335. I was wondering if it would be the powder choice others would use for this cartridge? If not what would you use instead?

It'll work, but I believe 8208, N135, Benchmark, & N133(?) might be better choices. JME. WD

Barrel life is incredible with H335, I used 7 1/2 with 52g-55g. Today, I would surely try AA2200 and CCI 450's with the 7 1/2's also.

I had 5 Barrels in 22 PPC, Hart's, and we shot p. dogs, ground squirrels, and jack rabbits. 50g Sierra lead tip blitz are amazing in how accurate they are in the area of 3550 fps. We leaned hard on the 55g Sierra lead tip blitz on those huge jack rabbits.

ON the dog towns with red hot shooting, H335 could go 300 rounds in between cleanings, while H322 and 2015 were 125 round shot strings due to carbon ring. JB was our barrel's best friend using a brush for application.

WC844 is one of the very best powders for accuracy in the 22 PPC with a Rem 7 1/2.

I have yet to try H225 in any of my 22 PPC's or my 22-.100 Short PPC's but as was mentioned above a similar powder called X-Terminator is just amazing in our cooler weather here in S.E. Alaska again with Rem 7 1/2 primers. 27.1 gr of X-Term gives 3500 FPS exactly with 16.4 SD in 22" barrel.

I designed my own version of the 222 1/2 which comes out to exactly the same capacity as the 22-.100 and in it 27.5gr of H335 gave 3439 FPS and 42 SD in some of my intitial fireform loads. Someone mentioned AA2200 and in my 222.5 25.2gr gave 3426 FPS ave and 43.1 SD with 52gr Watson FB.

Between these two chamberings I have tested a lot of powders to build like a loading manual just for fun and reloader 10x and Reloder 7 both showed promise. Benchmark got a 52gr FB going 3663FPS but the LT-30 and LT-32 along with N133 shot better for me. So far about tops is a surplus powder that has data for the 303 British on it is the best and I originally called it Brit 4895 but it burns a little faster than the various 4895 so I think you are right on target with the powders you mentioned for a full size 22PPC and try that 335 and XTerm.
