The barrel definitely has a crown issue,I see copper accumulating at the point I had marked in an earlier post,it's not the best pic but this is a picture of my borescope screen inside where the 2nd pic.is pointing out
Depends on your usage intention. Nothing wrong with continuing with 6.5 Creed but stay away from overbore calibers unless you have a specific intention.6.5 Creedmoor
Now that there is good advise...stay away from overbore calibers unless you have a specific intention.
I was thinking of 260 AI ,6dasher or possibly 6xc if I change to a different cartridgeDepends on your usage intention. Nothing wrong with continuing with 6.5 Creed but stay away from overbore calibers unless you have a specific intention.
The 260 and 6XC begin at the warming range when it comes to overbore. The Dasher is within the cool range and besides, the Dasher has proven to be laser at numerous diatances. Just keep in mind, 6 Dasher and 6XC brass "might" be limited acquisitions at this time however, I see plenty of 260 brass out there and specifically Lapua as long as you do a "thorough" search. Of course, the other two can be fireformed as well. I have a buddy who did very well with just flat 260Rem.I was thinking of 260 AI ,6dasher or possibly 6xc if I change to a different cartridge
