H&R 999 rear sight srews

I just got a un-fired H&R 999. I just shot it today. I need to move the rear sight to the left, but the screws will not budge. I had to order two new screws, in case I mess these up Please offer advise. Thanks, nilebartram

Localized heat and penetrating oil such as kroil. A proper fitting gunsmiths screwdriver is a thing of beauty on those gun screws
