H&R 22/250

I had a H&R in a 204 that shot pretty well if I shot it slow and did not let the barrel get warm. It would really spit shots if the barrel got the least bit warm though.

If it is a single shot break open, it is likely a matter of bag position. i had this issue with a heavy barrel 223. With 40 grain bullets and varget it shot two distinct groups, both under 1/3 inch, only about a bullet diameter apart! All said and done, i just figured it was close enough for woodchucks and it is....

I think it was either how the case seated upon closing the gun or how i had it rested on the bag and rest.

Don't hesitate to play with the forearm screw tension or fully bedding the forearm to the barrel if it's giving you fits.

I had this gun for about 8yrs, i got piss off and put gun aside because when you shot it, the damm thing would open up. My grandson wants to hunt so i had it fixed i hope so i want to sight in and have some fun. Its a bull 22" barrel. Rich
