308 reload

has any body ever used H380 for the 308? I have some H380 powder for my 22-250, but I am having a hard time finding IMR-3031 or any of the other powders right now. Going on a shoot next weekend and I don't know if I will have time to find any other powder. any help will be appercated thanks.

I shoot H-335 with 155 Bergers in mine ., works really well.

I know 2 people who use H380 in 308 and one of them has shot a ton of that powder with I believe 168 gr bullets.

H-380 is good in the .308 as well as a number of powders. The .308 is not usually picky about what you feed it. Others that i would consider are IMR or H-4895. Win. 748 is excellent in my 700 var. with 168 or 175 SMK's. IMR 4064 is also very good. the list goes on and on. Anywhere from 2550 to 2650 fps. loads will usually produce very nice groups if you do your part. Hope you find yours. ..... SEMPER FI!
