Gunsmith in Missouri

Sir, I learned a long time ago before I did my own work that the USPS goes all over the World. I also learned that the good craftsman didn't have time to BS with me as they were overloaded with work. In most cases the USPS is also cheaper than a trip to drop your stuff off and another trip to pick your stuff up.
When I need help, I want the best not the closes or cheapest.

I have a buddy ares custom llc in Jefferson City Mo does fantastic work David Terry 573-469-8586 David even makes some beautiful wood stocks as well.

Bc'z all the time I've been on this forum I've enjoyed Walt's posts but never knew he built rifles.

Tell me about it! I saw at my daughters house they had removed the A/C closet door to put in a new air handler and went over to fix it and the few pieces of floor that came up in the process. Seems now I am getting all kinds of requests to work again. I am like "Really I can't even do anything for my daughter in my retirement with out work request coming in from all over?" Good luck with doing your own stuff Walt, make no exceptions for anybody!!!

Yup.

Last BR I built has components and labor from 8 US States and 2 other countries, and I'd guess 30 people contributed directly in some way, along with 60+ hours of smith work and paint, myself.

But, she's a beaut' inside and out.

I am looking for recommendations of a good gunsmith/custom rifle builder. I am about an hour south of St. Louis.
Back in the late 1960's around 1968, there was a Gunsmith/custom rifle business, where they built a rifle for me. The Business was "Nu-line Guns" and they did an outstanding job. I think the name of the gunsmith there was Terry Stevens. I had them do some gunwork on another rifle but since then they relocated to another area in Mo. Some town named Harvester Mo. I think.

Wow. Blast from the past….Used to live two blocks from Nu-line in Harvester Mo. in the early 80’s…Not sure if they are still there…Last time was around there didn’t recognize anything but street names..

Was just wondering if Nu-line is still in business?? Is Terry Stevens still alive?
