Gunsmith for 22BR build?

Anyone got any recommendations for a gunsmith to build a 22br? I have used Montour County rifles and Mike Bryant in the past, but their websites state that they are not taking any new builds for the rest of 2013. I have emailed a couple of new-to-me gunsmiths asking about 22br no-turn neck reamers, but have not gotten any replies yet. Thanks for any suggestions.

check out Greg Tanell of gre-tan rifles. I don't know about his work load but he builds nice accurate rifles

Give Mike Hartman a call at 319 750-2907. Turn arounds in person are a 4-6 hours. Mail in in less than a week with all parts in hand. He's building my 20BR and 22rf as we speak.

Check with Nat Lambeth, aka RustyStud, here on this site. I do not know what his backlog looks like but I have seen some very nice work come from his shop. I have no personal experience with him though.

Ronnie Long usually turns rifles out in a timely manner, give him a call at 803-202-9409. His work is always 1st class, showing lots of pride & great workmanship.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I have emailed and called several listed here with no replies yet. I guess the forth of July has everyone at matches or spending time away from their shop. I will start calling again Monday. I would have never found some of these excellent craftsmen without your help.
Thanks Again!

I would suggest Colonel Billy Stevens. He built a 22BR for me several years back, and it shoots like a bench gun and has taken out a lot of prairie dogs. His number is 334-735-2261. Oh, BTW, Billy is a former Super Shoot winner, and he builds his own rifles.

Tasha,,,,no matter who does it I would get MY own reamer and have them use it,,,that way you get the neck dia (no turn is .254) and chamber length ,,,1.580 is what I use,,,,and the FB to match your bullet...it all depends on if you are building a rifle to shoot 52 +/- gr bullets or 80 gr!!!....no matter how good the gunsmith is ,,he is no better than the reamer he uses for your purposes,,,,.Roger

Tashabay, it's a 700 with a single shot follower in an HS Precision stock with round fore end but still shoots .3 five-shot groups.

Ted Borg at Teds Custom Shop. Goes by "sweet grass" on this board. He's done several rifles for me.(22 Dasher would be what your category is interested in for one). Shoots one ragged hole 5-shot groups off bags @ 100yrds

+1! For Mike Hartman! He's great to work with, does what he says, quick turn around, and my guns shoot great. Him and Scott B have been good to me. I consider both to be great guys and friends!
