How do us old guys suppose to remember that? We still use something like this 1234passwordThe most secure passwords are not using common words like Hunter1234 or PRSshooter55. These can be hacked more easily with hacking software. Create a password something like this:
d7$Ezz4?1aB$!R9
Very difficult to hack.
Yup! Same here! I have 3 sheets of paper with all my passwords written down. I hide it very carefully. Then….I can’t find it!How do us old guys suppose to remember that? We still use something like this 1234password

If I ever forget the security codes to my safes... no problem. The copies of the codes are secure inside the safes.Yup! Same here! I have 3 sheets of paper with all my passwords written down. I hide it very carefully. Then….I can’t find it!
I am 75 and keep a small spiral note pad with screen names and passwords, I keep it secure so I can use complicated passwor and have not had any security issues. I also use a VPN quite a bit.How do us old guys suppose to remember that? We still use something like this 1234password
Some folks must have used the same password for GB and their bank. My bank employs two-step verification, a text to my phone, but not until this year, long overdue.DO NOT leave your bank information on Gunbroker. Zelle hackers are using that site's information to hack your bank account to solicit payments to them. GB is not a secure site!!!!!!!!!!!
I never wanted to rely on an app for anything, least of all passwords. But many people I know and respect do.Use a password manager, then you only have to remember the master password.

Right now I almost never log in because this site keeps me logged in across sessions on the same device (cookie?) If you go to 2 factor will that be impossible, and we'll have to log in every session? We’ve avoided using 2 factor auth because it can get annoying but if the hacks keep up, we’ll have to rethink on that.

when we travel my IPad has its own phone number so I never have to worry about using unsecured wifi at places like McDonalds. Just lengths you have to utilize in todays electronic age.
Also, change complex passwords @ least once a month.v3ryD1$$2H@k!?
Take only a four-word phrase, shorten some words, capitalize some words, substitute some numerals and characters for letters, add some trailing characters. A password built like this is relatively easy to remember, if you recall the phrase. To lenghthen, wedge in a couple of numeral pairs you'll remember, like the year you graduated HS, your favorite ballplayer's number:
