I bought mine 50 years ago from Brownell's. I haven't seen the new ones in person. Pic of how I use it to clean rifle barrels. The wide leather soft jaws grip wood stocks firmly without damaging the wood.

Remember the special soft jaws Brownells used to sell? Aluminum plate with "space age" plastic bonded in two hardnesses? I'm still using mine 30 years on.
