Gun Show Goodies!!

Our local gun show happened today, and I allowed myself 200 US dollars to have a little fun with.
I hit it pretty lucky for sure when I stumbled down to where the local club was liquidating an estate sale of a recently deceased member. Stuff was going for around 25 cents on the dollar, and I'm pretty happy with what I got for my two Benjamans.





The bullets alone are worth 200. Couple of boxes of brass/boxer 9mm Man ammo. Sinclair scope ring lap tool. Untouched Lyman tong loader in 38/357. 3000+ primers.



Picked up ten of these 100 count boxes of Eley long rifle at two bucks a box.



Primer pocket tools and chamfer



These powders are embarrassingly old, but still sealed and three of my favorites.

There was so much good stuff being sold so cheap that the rest of the venders suffered pretty badly.

I've got good use for everything I got, except for maybe the Ideal Tong Loader Kit.
Maybe it will come in handy after the apocalypse happens. jd

As an air gunner seeing that 22 ammo scares me. What if it turns out to be super accurate... what then? I’ve made the mistake of really liking some old pellets I had once that I thought I’d never run out of.

You never know if you do not go . We only have a few small ones around here each year , most times it's the same stuff from the same vendors...but I still have to sift through it looking for the gems.

She was looking for something and opened a cabinet I took over for storage. A box of bullets fell out and landed on her toe. She’s been on a tear, ever since. I had to move a lot of stuff into my shop to calm her down. The good news is, I found some things I forgot I bought!

Yeah, there was original stickers on lots of the stuff. That 4227 was the most at 6.95.

Here was a bunch of mostly 7mm bullets, sealed boxes for ten bucks each.
I tried to call my buddy with a 7 mag to see if he wanted me to snag them, but he didn't answer. Oh well. jd

That’s a good find. Worth quite a bit for a good day of entertainment.
That real older box of CCI large rifle primers and the square powder cans are unusual. That old stuff would look neat in a shadow box built out of old barn wood.

I take offense to the real older box of CCI primers. Those are the boxes they came in when I started reloading. One good thing is the square can of powder is from my dad's era. The 4227 can is from era also. Now I feel sad.
LOL I guess it had to come from someone's era.
Good buys at any rate.

I'm in my early sixties, and in the small town I grew up in, all of that stuff was in "my era".

I can remember when a guy might find either of those types of primer boxes on the shelf. The oldest one with the black wears a price of $7.30, and the slightly newer one has a tag of $32.00. That probably means they were still on someones shelf when the big price hike happened. I think I got them for ten bucks. And with manufacturing standards being what they are now and they were then, these might be considered "premium" primers. jd
