gun shops around naashville

Going to be in Nashville today & tomorrow. Any really good gun stores in the area? Not looking for the tacticool places.

Not really. If you are heading down I-24E toward Chattanooga, the Outpost Armory is decent. Bellshire Hardware is fairly good (the owner buys and sells a lot of local stuff: he’s been there forever and he gets a lot of “estate” stuff), Guns and Leather in Hendersonville is fairly good. Nashville Armory and Nashville Gun Shop is just meh. Bottom line, we just don’t really have a great gun store in the middle Tennessee area. Good luck.

I’m also in Nashville for the weekend. I usually hit this shop in Franklin when I visit. There’s another smaller shop with a bunch of reloading supplies somewhere, but I can look it up later and shoot you a PM.

Mark’s right, I completely forgot about the Franklin Gun Shop. They do have a large inventory and is an interesting place to visit. I don’t go there often because I don’t have any other reason to go down I-65, and their prices are high. Not greedy, just Franklin is a high-rent area.

I guess it’s all in what you’re used to. I travel 3-5 days a week and visit gunshops from Texas to Michigan whenever I get the chance. Nothing struck me as outrageously high, but I not bought any guns there either.
