Austin-San Antonio gun shops?

In this area for a few days and wandering if any locals could point me to any good gun shops. Not really interested in tactical shops although it seems those are popping up everywhere now days. Is there anywhere in the area that would have a good selection of varmint or target type rifles? Or a good selection of reloading supplies? Thanks in advance for the info!

Durys is the most famous name of I know off the top of my head for an actual gun store. Havent found any reloading places that are comprehensive or affordable enough when compared to the web.

Trainer Hale Supply, 15391 Bexar Bowling, Marion, TX 78124, has lots of reloading supplies and is just off of I-10.

Agreed...place is awesome. I remember talking to the shop owner and he said the second time Obama got elected he made 1 million in sales in one month. That is a testament to how well stocked they are and what a wide selection they offer in firearms.

I've been to Reds gun shop and GT Distributers as well. Both nice shops. GT gives awesome discounts if youre military/LE. I believe Best of the West sells rifles too, but its mostly long range to extreme long range custom stuff.

Thanks for the info guys! Checked out Mcbrides in Austin...nice place but not much in the gun department that shouted at me. Also checked out cabelas in buda. They had a huge collection of coopers in some great calibers but crazy prices...also had two 8lb Varget but wanted 240$ for em. Really wanted to walk away with a cooper in 17 HeBee but couldn't justify nearly new price for a used one. Plan on checking San Antonio out tomorrow if I can stand the traffic!!! Keep the suggestions coming guys and thanks again

Cabela's in Buda has savage 12fvs on sale for $319. That's a steal imho.

Powderhorn in S A. David usually has a lot of stuff from reloading to guns plus a good junk pile to pick thru mags ,bullets,ammo,and a bunch of other stuff.
