Gun Shack Savage parts

Wanted to give a positive shout out to Gun Shack's customer service.

Bought one of the replacement Savage target trigger springs, assuming that it would noticeably reduce pull weight on a Stealth Evolution model with the silver safety blade. I couldn't tell any difference, so Gun Shack refunded my purchase with no questions asked. I spoke with the owner at length about the issue, and suggested that customers contact Savage with their serial number to see which spring was installed at the factory, before ordering a replacement.

Gun Shack is a mom and pop business that is trying really hard to provide quality factory original parts, and they were an absolute delight to deal with. The confusion was not their fault, but they didn't question the situation at all. I highly recommend them, and will certainly give them my business in the future.

Great job Gun Shack!

Thanks for posting about this I am thinking of getting one for my model 11 to reduce the trigger pull weight now reading this I will call with my serial number.

I'm pretty sure you also needed to purchase the target sear along with the trigger. Just buying the trigger alone would not achieve the target trigger weight you're looking for. I may be wrong but just my .02

pdog06 is the guy to talk to. Mike is the Savage guru.

Lol don’t know about that…

Swapping just the rear trigger spring will usually lighten it a little but not near what a target accutrigger is. To get that light or close to it JCAV is correct. You need to buy the target trigger and target sear(only made in top bolt release).

Your model 11 should have the standard 2.5lb accutrigger. Adding just the rear spring might get it down under 2lb.

Gunshack does now sell the target accutrigger AND the target sear! Huge news cause nobody was carrying them in stock and you cannot get one from Savage unless you’re an ffl/gunsmith.

Correct. Some who have purchased them found they are not the same as when "installed" at the factory which may have included stoning, deburring, and tweaking. Purchasing one may require the buyer to make the same tweaks to achieve a smooth trigger. ;)

I bought and installed one from Gun Shack.
But... while everything was apart, I stoned the sear edges along with trigger edge and ended up with a really good trigger compared to the factory standard Accutrigger 2+ pound min pull trigger.
