Gun Safe !?!!?!?!?!

Remember if you buy a safe to bolt it down. Thieves steal them the same way you bring them in. Know someone who put 200 lbs of shot in his plus his guns--thieves broke his door and took entire safe.

the safe i bout weighed 1300#. It took 3 of us to move it in the hause to spare bedroom. I have concrete floor. Took 1 1/2" galvanized pipe cut it in several 1' pieces and rolled safe on galvanized "ROLLERS". Easy to do, when one roller comes out from under safe then put it in front and continue rolling safe. Turns around courners easy too. Even though you have wood floors it will still work.

rollers work great until you run into a step... still need to find a way to get it over the step, and onto the flat beyond the step. That's the tricky part.

+1 for the ref. cart. I'm a small guy (160 lbs) & have a Cannon safe that I'm able to move by myself w/the cart (that is when I remember to take the guns out & remove the lag-bolts out of the floor & wall)! ;D With 2 x 6's, I would absolutely re-enforce the floor!

it's a Cannon... not the best, but certainly not the worst.

Got it at Tractor Supply on "Black Friday."

$700 even. Was the best price I've seen on a safe of that quality and size. The only thing I don't like is how the shelves are made out of particle board, but I guess that's how they keep the price down. It's all wrapped in tan velvet so you can't even see that it's particle board, but it's just not the same as having nice oak trim pieces and what not (I really don't care, but some people might).

let me know if you want any more details/opinions on it...

Don`t tell anyone I said this. Next time, go to your local gunshop if you know them and ask to borrow their safe dolly.

Moving a 1200# safe is no easy feat.

I got the same safe on Black Friday as well. Stood in line and just barely purchased the last one they had in stock!

Find a burial vault company they can lift and swing it anywhere you want it. Once inside use a bucket of golf balls to roll it on works pretty slick.
