did they quit makeing the plano air glide case. Im not seeing much on them when i do a search. I did see one on FLEa bay for 150.00

They discontinued them but I thought they brought them back for a period. Maybe that was just shops that got a final shipment.

This may not be relevant, but I have a LR rifle that is so long I could not find a case for it. Ace cases made me a custom soft case that fit perfect and was very reasonably priced.

It depends on what type of protection you're wanting to achieve.

The original Air-Glides are gone, not to return. There was a last gasp shipment to some distributors but even those have been gone for a while now. I got several from that last shipment but there aren't any more that I can find.

There are dozens of inexpensive plastic cases which will work short term for transporting in your car or truck but are not FAA approved for airlines, Walmart claims they are... These can be less expensive and readily available, I got a dozen from Walmart at the regular price of under $19.00/each, 4.8 lbs. They aren't great but for the short term and riding in a vehicle, they work fine.

I found one, bitched about what I had to pay for it, and thank my good luck every day I use it. Best case ever made for transportation to/from matches. Just wish Plano would bring them back.

Nope. I do remove the bolt from my Vudoo because the Bolt knob touches the inside of the case (I put it in a bolt case and put it under the action) but my 2500X bench gun travels with the bolt inserted.
