Group grand agg competition.

Got ours done Saturday. Targets are in rout back.
This was the 1st match in BR ever shot. it is very challenging.
Got to the range later than planned. Heat and wind was a problem Not to mention mirage, We had a guy shooting next to us cross fired pissed me off. At least he apologized. said he was looking at our targets and accidentally touched trigger. got a extra shot barely on the paper from the guy. we did this for the challenge. We caught a break on a couple of targets with the sun going behind clouds when shooting 200. Due to heat took forever for the rifles to cool down,
Thanks for letting us play. I should have last sewed up.

Eye Doc report today. He said the episode with pain thru my right eye was caused by a normally referred to ( ghost situation) from having Bells Palsy some years back or recent shingles but not likely. If it does not happen again he said no worries but if so we can check further. However the cataract in my right eye has progressed from stage 1 to stage 3 since my last visit (about 8 months ago) while the left eye has remained at stage 1. So we are scheduling surgery for both the right and left eye but one at the time asap. I'm please to find out it is no more serious than it is and appreciate all the prayers from everyone.
Good luck sir. I had hand surgery last week and cataract surgery Thursday on 1 eye and next a week later.
I hope yours goes well.

Glad they got it figured out and hope it continues to clear up. I think they have the cataract surgery down to an art anymore. I had it a few years back after almost being blind in my right eye. I wore glasses for 53 years but after they did the surgery I only wear them to read really small print up close..Hope your's turns out as good.

I finally got my targets shot and mailed back to Scott today along with a little cash to help cover his cost. I'll probably embarrass myself but it was still a lot of fun. A day at the range beats a day sitting at the house. Good luck everyone. Hope everyone that signed up gets theirs shot and sent back.

Appreciate your kind words and I am looking forward to getting the surgery done. I am working with my eye Dr. and the surgeon now to get it scheduled asap. I feel certain this has been an issue for some time now with my shooting as the Dr. has said it would progressively get worse especially when trying to focus on crosshairs/target. Along with this I also have what is referred to as "dry eye" but it actually causes the eyes to water most of the time. We are working with different types of drops to help this issue as well.

Finally got mine done as well!!! Had quite the adventure with some VV n133 powder that had went BAD!!!! Was going to shoot them In Creede, Co with some buddies 2 weeks ago while in Creede. @DVM75 on here bought the super nice blue panda 2 barrel gun that Zac at Old Dominion smithed and Bc'z painted up that had been for sale on here for quite some time. We were going to fireform some loads and I took some older n133 that had about 3 lbs in the 8lb jug left. I took a few PPC's that had some pre-loads ready to go as well. When we started to load the fire form loads we noticed a very strong a acidic smell from the powder. It looked just fine, but had that funny smell that you would associate with the stuff that turns brown and fouls. Well decided to only load (lighter loads)10-20 of these to see if they were OK. At the range they were obviously off - when fired you could tap the case on the bench and a few unburned brownish crap came out of the case!!!! We fired about 10 and pulled the other 6-10 to put fresh powder. His problem solved --- that that gun HAMMERS!!!!!
Now to my problems---- all my preloads had that stuff in them as well!!!! Some of them had been loaded since September. I brought 4 ppc guns and couple loads for each. Tried to shoot batches of all the loads and it looked like the powder started turning really bad in November. So all I had was a hand puller!!!! Pulled bullets and reloaded. Benches at that range are HORRIBLE so groups were not great. SOOO come home last week and finish pulling all the bullets on the press.. I had some concerns with the corrosion on the bullets and inside the cases, but didn't reuse the bullets and bushed out the cases. Reloaded with fresh powder, but was getting varying case fills and knew there was some issues. So I backed off the load some to avoid pressure issues and off to the range. Fired some test targets and was getting some various scatter groups, but not really horrible. Decided to pull some bullets and reload with more powder to check. That helped so decided, what the heck, hang the 100yd targets and go shooting. It seemed to want to shoot but would throw at least one shot per group-thought it was me for a while. I knew the primers had a coating on them and thought they might be OK, but decided to reload the same brass over and over for the 200yd targets. Picked out 10 pieces of brass and used that for the 200 yd relays. Warmup didn't show a whole lot of promise so I sped the load up a little. Acted like it wanted to shoot so sped it up some more, by the 3rd relay I realized it was probably the combination of the fresh primers and more powder so I left it alone and really watched the flags. 3-5 relays were really good with one flier on 3 and 4 - 5 was perfect, my best ever at 200 yards!!!!! Sorry for the LONG RANT -BUT if you have any of this lot of N133 you might want to check it to make sure it hasn't turned on you. I have attached pictures of some brand new cases and bullets and what they looked like in about 24 hours of exposure to this powder!!!! When I got home and pulled all my other PPC's that were loaded, some had to be dug out with a screwdriver for the top layer where a crust had formed before the powder would pour out. Then I would to ream the tool around to make sure it was all broken loose at the base - this was bad STUFF!!!! Ended up scrapping about 5lbs of powder and over 500 bullets!!!!
