Years ago I hunted SE of Toledo along the Portage river and the RR tracks. The hogs like the bean and hayfields along the river and tracks. Farmers would let you hunt back in the early 60s, today??

i have a few 800+ on video

best year was 112 + 4 cats
now i average 20 to 60 a year, since i have to "share" kills with 2 other guys...

Northeast Indiana here. I'm a farmer and try for at least 100+ here every year. Weapon of choice is a Savage 223 but most come from connibears due to time. Trapped 60 groundhogs on a 40 acre farm two years ago, that was fun! If anyone asks us we tell them to leave the coyotes alone but we don't have any livestock. A buddy got one on a trailcam with a groundhog in his mouth two years ago so we leave the coyotes alone since they save us some money.

I envy you guys in OH/PA... 'Seems some of you have the luck to find some pretty target rich areas when it comes to groundhogs.

I have permission to shoot on two properties near Mount Forest Ontario... One is a 100 acre hay field... the other consists of about 250 acres hay/cattle pasture.
Best day out last season I bagged 6, but usually its one or two.
Reading about guys getting 20 a day makes me wish they're lying..LOL.

Longest shot taken/made... 250 yards.
