Crows are one of my favorite to hunt with either a rifle or shotgun.
The OPs picture reminds me of a crow I shot with my .222Rem loaded with a Hornady 52 grain HPBT match bullet,I really didn’t think that bullet would be the best choice. But at 100 yards I wound up with a wing and leg and a head and wing, not quite as graphic as the OPs but it did surprise me.Years later I called in a crow close and shot it with the 17Predator and a 30 Gold,no real damage, must have been going way to fast still to open up.
Crows are smart and wary and look great with crosshairs on ‘em
