Grand slam issue

my new 2-8 was clicking along just fine and then it free wheels in the same spot for about 3/4 of a turn then starts clicking again. Anyone ever see this issue?

Weaver is kaput so you'll probably see no help from them

Grand slam scopes are usually pretty good. There are outfits/person's who may be able to repair it, if they see your question, hopefully they or someone will contact you.

Grand Slams are decent scopes but yes Weaver is gone. I believe that Bushnell May do something for you.

The Japanese made Weavers have always been one of my favorite scopes. I believe they are made by Light Optic Works.

I believe they also make/made either components or possibly whole scope for NightForce.

So cheap scope, not so much. Great performance v. cost ratio? Yes.

Never owned or handled one of Weaver's Grand Slam scopes, but the Super Slams are(were) really good quality scopes. Pretty sure you're right about them being made by LOW in Japan; it's a shame Weaver's out of the scope business IMHO.

You get what you pay for. Well maybe not. Think about hamburg, maybe none of it is worth what it cost but from the top to the bottem there is a pretty big difference. For the same money you could have bought a used Leupold with a valid warranty.

I wonder, when I see the comments some make about various items/products that question are asked about and make comments like "cheap product, etc." have even seen, handled or used the product ? More than likely they are the type that would complain about a new rope being used, right ?
