Graham TX clay bird match

Darrel "Doc" Martin runs the 600 yd Deplorable Pig, clay bird match at my range in Huntsville, Tx.
The hogs are life size AR500 plates that has a clay bird holder right behind it. The holes are 3 3/4 inches in diameter.
You get 2 sighter shots on a plate next to the hog then 5 rounds to break 5 clays. The bullet must cleanly pass thru the hole and break the targets. Edge of the hole hits that show splatter on the plate or copper on the plate do not count as hits. You can have a spotter helping with wind calls and impacts.
Shooter of the Year award after last match. So far the highest score has been 17 of 20.

So nobody misunderstands, these guys hosting the matches paid for this stuff out of their own pockets & even modified it when need be. Plus they haul it all back & forth down range so we can show up, sling lead & bitch about the mirage/ rules. They are the guys that deserve the attaboys. I may have worked some decent pricing for them, but basically I’m just a knucklehead that likes to shoot. ...and I happen to have some cool toys at my disposal at work!
