Gotta Love 108 Bergers

tried a new load with my F Class 6BR and 108 Bergers today. decided to give N140 a go. i have tried it in the 6BR and .223 at 100 yds and it shot excellent, but needed to see how it would do at 600yds.
shot a simulated first round string with 5 sighters and 20 for record in 25 minutes. i was primarily interested how it did in the vertical. shots 1 thru 5 were sighters and 18 and 24 were me missing the wind shift when the mirage disappeared. needless to say, i will be using this load again. i was chronoing the load at the time and the ES was 17 and the SD was 4, MV averaged 2865. this is the best string i have shot to date in F Class shootingOct 23 2018 6BR 108 Bergers N140.PNG

here is the rifle. i actually now shoot it off a SEB Joy-Pod with a Pod Pad, tracks great

I love 108'sin my 6BRX. They shoot extremely well, but I may have to steer clear of matches you attend! Haha!
Excellent shooting and a beautiful rifle.

With the targets that a bunch of you have been posting lately, I hope there is some 108’s left when I get my 6mm built. Are they outshooting the vld’s mid-range and on in?

Very good bullet if you can find them. Unobtanium in Australia ATM, with a few shooters starting to bite the bullet (no pun intended) and buy from Reloading International.

I love the Bullets but I don't like the supply and price gouging.
I've seen them a high as $200 for 500 I ordered the last box my secret supplier had today for $167

I had been using Varget with the 108's and it shot well, but did not hold the vertical as well as the N140 did, this time. i need to get it out to 600 some more to confirm it's going to work better than the Varget. the load was exactly the same for the Varget and the N140. one thing i am not sure about is the temp sensitivity and lot to lot variation of N140. living here in Florida temp sensitivity is less of an issue.

I used identical loads of Varget and N140 in my Palma rifle with 155gr Bullets. I’m sticking with VV for the long haul.
