Good day and bad day at range

I went to the range today to shoot my 6ppc today. I pre loaded 10 rounds before I left to cut down on set up time.
I shot my 10 rounds and went back into the shed to fl size, prime and dump powder....guess what I left at home.
You guessed it my box of bullet of 68 grain fb ultras.
So luckily one of the local guys let me shoot some of his Niemm bullets. I didnt do as good with those as the barts ultras but I didnt spend a great deal of time to find the perfect seating depth.
I was just grateful that he let me shoot his bullets to keep me from driving 40 miles round trip to get mine.
Here are the 10 shots at 100 yards with the Barts 68 grain fb ultras.
One measured .122 and the other .150.
So I think it was overall a great day.

Nice shooting. My club is 150mi from my home. I've got to pack everything, rifles, rests, chronographs, tripods, seats, etc. One day after I drove all the way there and unloaded all of my gear onto the benches, I realized that my ammo box didn't make the trip. Bummer :rolleyes:

Just over 100 miles one way to Strategic Edge,we have a reloading room right on the range very handy for load development, not so much when you bring everything except a 338 Lapua shellholder!!!!

Yep...I'd say you had a GREAT day.....If i shot 2 back-to-back groups like those with my 6PPC,..I'd clean my rifle, get me something cool to drink and just sit back and enjoy. Good shooting....stay safe.

Yes sir , I wished i would have had 15 to 20 more of my bullets. I would have like to see if I could held my groups for 15 more shots without me screwing things up...

I drove two hours to the range last Thursday. No rain forecast until evening. 18 shots downrange and it started raining. Then it was a monsoon. I hid in my truck.

In a quick break between clouds, I retrieved my Solo etarget. It was soaked the way only a tropical deluge can make it.

Got back to the truck in time for the next monsoon. A mile and a half east it hadn’t rained at all.

Laid it all out under a ceiling fan on high all weekend. Tested it this morning and it still works.

So that was about 60 bucks in gas for 18 shots, and still don’t have zeroes for all the yard lines.

What type of etarget do you have

Was he able to borrow a bolt?
Been there done that....but I saw a bad result also. I shoot Pandas. A former shooting partner shot Pandas. We have traded bolts and won with the other guys bolt. Several years ago a fellow forgot his bolt, good shooter, another long time good competitor loaned him his. First shot things came apart . Bolt ruined, no one hurt. Might be better to pass up sharing a bolt. I will no longer consider it. We get too comfortable. A friend, long time Super Shoot competitor was having misfires just a couple weeks ago. He had a cartridge with evidently no powder, it misfired. Bullet in the barrel. He ejected the round load another and blew the bolt and ejector apart. Had steel caught in his glasses lenses that poked through the lens but caught in the lens. Black eye, shrapnel in face, very lucky. Don't get comfortable which is the first cousin to careless.
