Gold Medallion bore cleaner

Circa late 80s/early 90s I believe Gold Medallion was bought by big green. The yellow bottles of Rem-Clean later just called Bore Cleaner, but still in yellow bottles with a BB inside was brown in color. I found some of this stuff when unpacking some boxes that hadn't seen daylight since 1995. Looking thru the Teslong, it still works very well after a vigorous shaking.

Thinking it may have been renamed yet again to 40X Cleaner or some such thing. Unsure if it's still in yellow bottles or even the same stuff.
Gold Medallion was never bought by big green - Don't even know what that is. My father had an agreement with Remington to supply the bore slurry in 55 gallon drums. Then Remington went chapter 11 and they lost the contract. We still make the products Gold Medallion is US Products Bore cleaner-- we also make an amazing bore paste. We go to Montana and shoot prairie dogs every summer and I use it ever 200 rounds or so. I am happy to send samples,

What is the abrasive and what is the grit on the slurry?

That is like asking a lady her age? Right?
I'm a healthcare provider. I'll ask women if they have unprotected sex and when their first period was. Absolutely nothing is off the table for me :)

Is the information in this thread correct? https://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/abrasive-bore-cleaner-specifications.3957645/

Edit: I'll add: no one here wants to steal your stuff and make our own. It's already inexpensive compared to a lot of stuff in this hobby. We just want to know what's in it to make an informed decision before we start running stuff down our $1000 barrels.

It's not mine, just an oldie but goodie that I refer to a lot for info. So garnet at 800 grit?

Thank you! That’s valuable info. I’ve always heard if you had a truly gunked up barrel, the gold medallion was the stuff to use, so it makes sense. Do you recommend putting a BB or marble or something in the slurry?

And thank you and your family’s contribution to the shooting sports for so many years.
We now put a marble in the slurry before we ship it out. I recommend using the bore paste for really "gunked" up barrels and barrels that use black powder. My Dad was an avid shooter and hunter-- He was not the type to raise a girly girl - he taught me a lot about say fly-fishing, boating etc. but he did not teach me to shoot. It wasn't until I acquired the company that I started shooting a lot. I am still learning. Thank you!

Well, this post had the best result I could hope for. Found Rebecca and the bore cleaning slurry I was looking for ( the old grey REM Clean).
That is the beauty of this site, a great resource for information n finding the items u need.
Thanks to all who posted.

The slurry is the gold medallion . The paste is for when your bore is very dirty. The paste with the very fine grit abrasive should take out caked powder residue and mild metal streaking without ruining the bore.

after cleaning with the liquid slurry my barrel looks gray with my bore scope. Is this normal?
Its not shiny or bright like after using Thorroclean
