Just got a Contender in .22lr but wanting to mount a scope. Will it require drilling and tapping or can I use the screw holes for the rear sight? Thanks, James

There's mounts that go in the 4 screw holes where the rear sight is.

also, there are tons of mounts available. Just make sure you do not use an encore mount
Be careful, Contenders tend to multiply in the safe
Watch out it’s a very big DEEP hole!!!!!
