I had it too and let me tell you it was not pleasant. My ex thought I was being a baby due to the symptoms and 5 years later she got it and apologized to me for her misjudging the situation. Once he recovers the only thing he should do is guard himself from sick people as much as he can because it is tough on the immune system for a while. Prayers sent and keep us updated. By the way I lost 30 pounds in 4 weeks due to vomiting and such. So give him a hug and Love him as much as you can.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I have him home now!! We r keeping an eye on him but seems good. Time will tell. Alot of people have not been so lucky with meningitis, what a scary thing.

I'm happy to hear he is on the road to recovery. Hug them and tell them you love em' everyday; and always part with kind words because we never when the it will be the last time.
As I've gotten older and get torqued at lifes petty issues, I do stop, look around, think, count my blessings and realize how fortunate I (and my family) are.

I had it when I was 5.
I don't remember much but my parents said that it was life threating and I'm lucky to be alive.
I do remember my dad being there everyday and the happiness of him comforting me. Know that the love you show makes a lifelong impression and I'm happy to hear he is doing better!
