Saturday night my 18yr old son came home for a couple days from school where he also wrestles. We had some friends over playin cards. He stood up from the table, stumbled, walked up stairs falling once. We knew something was wrong and I followed him upstairs. He was laying on his bed, and I was questions him about what was wrong. Within 5 minutes he went from not feeling good, to being unresponsive. I wasn't sure if he was stroking or seizuring as he faded off. An ambulance ride of 1.5 hrs because the flight for life didn't have a chopper available. I will skip forward to today, he is doing better. He has spinal meningitis. Docs r pretty optimistic he will be ok in time. Watching him degrade I didn't know if I was watching my son die, or if he was gunna have permanent issues, I was scared to death. The good lord watched over my boy. Although he might not go back to school or the mat soon, he will come home with me. I will never take for granted one more of his smiles
