Giraud or Henderson Power Trimmer

one thing I'm curious about with Giraud is now that unfortunately Doug has passed away and supposedly his family will be taking over how that will effect product support ? I myself am interested in buying this machine and with their website stating 6 week wait time to ship I have decided to hold off and see how or if the family will be successful continuing selling and building Doug's products . I might be paranoid but ??

I own and have used them both for several years. If set up and used properly, marred necks do not happen.

The Giraud is quicker to adjust trim length. The Henderson is easier on your hands and fingers. They both trim equally accurate if set up and used properly.

The blades for inside and outside chamfer on each can be adjusted and adjustment is about the same difficulty on both.

Giraud offers meplat cutters and bullet holder to trim bullets with. I have not seen these for Henderson.

That’s about all I can think of.

I went with the Henderson. I don’t have marred necks.
When comparing the two the best I could do with videos and reading, I was seriously leaning the Henderson way. Especially with how many I plan to do a year. I thought it might be better for comfort and indexing off the base, rather than neck. I also didn't understand the inside marring of the neck being an issue. Plus, it's really prudy!

So, I thought I would post and see who all is doing what with what trimmer. What are your thoughts on the Henderson now that you're an owner of one?

Fclass John did a comparison video.

I owned a Giraud for many years.

I bought a Gen 2 Henderson. I used the two side by side for a while.

I sold the Giraud and am very happy with my decision.

Trimming straight wall cases was also a consideration. It is easy and painless as well on a Henderson.

I owned both and used both side by each for a few years. I ultimately sold the giraud and kept the Henderson. I found it faster, slightly more consistent, and easier on the hands when doing a lot of rounds. Both work great though you’d be happy with either. I am not a benchrest shooter though,

Copy. Nor am I a BR shooter. As a varmint hunter, especially in a rat patch, reaching out to 500-yards, accuracy is everything as far as I'm concerned. I try my best to eliminate as much human error as possible in my reloading for this sport we love so much! I'm a perfectionist with OCD, so that doesn't help. I want to make the right decision the first time on this purchase. :D
