Getting starting in PRC

I am getting starting in PRC type matches. I have not shot one yet. I have one coming up next month. What should I expect to see at these matches. What size target and what distance? What should I practice? I shoot long range 22 LR now, from benches.

Yup Precision Rimfire Challenge. One of the names but same game as PRS style matches.

Plan on shooting from many positions and off barricades and obstacles. Targets are usually 3-6 MOA out deep and can be similar in closer but might see smaller. Will likely shoot KYL racks and the like. It's fun. Go to it and shoot them and learn from doing it. Having good data at longer ranges is important and also the wind will mess with you as you know.

Check out my Youtube page and there are some videos taken at the Lapua PRC match a few weeks ago at Peacemaker.

There is one coming up at the Volusia County Gun Range in Florida near the end of this month. Mark, I've only shot a couple of informal matches, but pretty much what Rob said with a little paper targets thrown in.

Nice video Rob.

Rob01,
Where do you get the bags you were using? Front and knee

Very cool. Glad this stuff is getting more popular. We have a similar match out here. My advice is barricade practice and wind reading w/o flags. Good luck!

The larger square bag is an Armageddon Gear large Fat Bag and the one on the front of rifle is the Game Changer. I would highly recommend the Game Changer. The large bag in rear helps stabilize too.
