Getting started 6BR

Like I said, I knew it was on the hot side, but no clickers or really beating up the brass. I don't have a reason to run that load anymore, so I'm going to back it down. I'll have to check my files in GRT to see if I modeled it with my powder lot before.
That pressure is mild compared to a popular 6bra load.
Plus I’m just making an educated guess on case capacity on a standard.104 freebore and lapua case.

Here's the model I had when I developed my load. Not showing as much pressure as yours is, but without a pressure trace sensor I won't know exactly what it is, but this appears to be more in line with what I was seeing with the brass. Not showing the ladder steps for clarity, but is predicting 59,500psi and I never felt the load to be dangerously hot with my lot of powder. Notice, I also adjusted powder temp to 93°F which is pretty average for shooting around here from May through Oct.

Possibly different case (lapua?) giving more volume and seated 20 thou further out probably explains the difference.

I’m pretty confident that that those stout lil cases handle 60-65k in a good action pretty easily, especially since a lot of common listed loads are pushing 80+k
